Install Google Chrome (stable) in Linux Mint 17

Here’s how you can install Google’s Chrome browser in Linux Mint 17. This is valid also for many other Linux distributions, mainly debian based.

In a terminal window type the following commands:

For 32-bit Chrome:

wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb

sudo gdebi google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb

For 64-bit Chrome:

wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

sudo gdebi google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

That’s it
